Freescale and Bell Labs team up to create 5G ‘Universal Remote Node’

Alcatel-Lucent’s Bell Labs and Freescale Semiconductor today claimed that they will create an industry-first ‘universal remote node’ that can be used for any combination of wireline and wireless connections as they target network evolution towards 5G.
