Estonia to pilot 5G next year

Estonian mobile operator EMT could steal an unlikely lead in the race for 5G as it looks to start piloting the technology as early as next year. EMT’s technology director Tiit Tammiste said: “Eesti Telekom is currently implementing a 5G technology needed to test its network. Tests scheduled to start in the second half of 2016 are likely”.
