Nokia to showcase working 5G radio equipment at MWC

Nokia Neworks has announced that it will be coming to the Mobile World Congress with a bag full of 5G tricks including two working prototypes of new radio equipment, Internet of Things security and an LTE-M demo with Korea Telecom. The Finnish company will be showing off ‘5G radio equipment’ operating on new millimetre and centimetre wave bands to achieve high capacities, and incorporating new frame structures to achieve single-digit millisecond latency. Wearable Tech is main 5G use case says ZTE

Finland starts work on 5G network

Finnish technical research centre VTT and the University of Oulu have begun building a two-part 5G test network, one component of which will be open to use for the general public.
